- Beat the eggs and sugar until light and creamy.

- Combine the oil and water, add to the mixture and beat well. Add the rose essence and stir through.
- Pour into desired cake pan and bake at 180*C for 20-25 minutes.
- Allow to cool.
- Method for icing. - Cream the butter for a few minutes on high speed with an electric mixer. It will become pale yellow. Add the icing sugar, milk powder, rose essence and cardamom powder and mix well for 5 minutes. Add the milk if needed.
