- add nuts, beat egg whites untill it forms a peak, fold in egg whites and nuts, untill well mixed do not beat together, make sure you fold it in well.
- pour into pan, if using 2 pans evenly divide the mixture. bake for 30 minutes
- for the topping - can of crushed pineapples (drain half of the juice) and sugars, put into a large saucepan and cook untill it thickens up about 20 minutes. careful not to get any on you ,will burn you. spread topping over cake cut into square pieces. when ready to serve put whipped topping optional.
