Instructions to make Standing Heart Cake:

  1. (1). For Cake - - - In a bowl sieve all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and mix well. Add Powdered sugar, egg and whisk well.
  2. Now add oil and buttermilk in batches and whisk well. Don’t over beat the cake batter. Lastly add Red color and vanilla essence and mix well.
  3. Grease the heart mold with oil, line butter paper and pour this batter. Bake it at 180°C in a preaheted oven for 35 minutes. Do a quick check with toothpick in centre. Let it cool down to room temperature
  4. (2). For Cream Cheese Icing - - - In a bowl add cream cheese and icing sugar and beat with electric beater till it gets stiff peaks. Now add butter and mix well by Cut & Fold method.
  5. (3) For Decorating Cake - - - Now give three equal cuts to heart cake vertically using a sharp knife. Place the lower part of heart cake on cake board(fix dowel stick in centre of cake board) apply cream cheese and repeat this process twice.
  6. Apply cream cheese & cover whole structure of heart cake evenly. Let it set in refrigerator for an hour.
  7. Now roll the Red Fondant on kitchen counter about an half inch thickness and cover the cake with this. Using silicon mold and black fondant make the couple, sprinkle some gold dust also and stick it on cake using a bit water. Similarly make white rose border and coat it with gold edible dust and decorate it on cake.
