  1. Make ready 2 whole egg + 3 egg yolk
  2. Make ready 100 gr sugar
  3. Prepare 50 gr cake flour
  4. Make ready 10 gr corn starch
  5. Make ready 15 gr milk powder
  6. Make ready 1/2 tsp salt
  7. Prepare 30 gr vegetable oil
  8. Prepare 45 gr melted butter
  9. Take 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps to make Basic sponge cake:

  1. Preheate oven to 175c. Line 18cm square pan with baking paper. Combine and sift dry ingredients.
  2. Beat eggs, sugar, and salt with electric mixer, high speed until ribbon stage. About 10-15mins.
  3. Stop mixer, use spatula, fold in sifted flour in 4 batches. Gently. Dont over mix.
  4. Fold in melted butter 3 spoonful at a time. And vanilla extract. Gently and swiftly. Careful not to deflate the batter. Tap 3x on kitchen counter to remove air bubbles.
  5. Pour in prepared pan. Bake 175c for 30mins.
  6. Unmould from pan and invert on cooling rack. Cake height should be about 6/6,3cm. Garnish as desired.
