- For custard = crack eggs in a bowl,beat it for 10 sec or until the yolk and white is mixed,in a sauce pan heat the milk add sugar,cocoa powder and vanilla essence to it and mix until all the ingredients are dissolved,turn of the flame and let it rest,when the milk mixture comes to room temperature add the mixture into the beaten eggs mix it well and add the mixture to "6 cm" cake tin and set it aside….. Now preheat the oven at 180Β°C
- For chocolate sponge = crack 2 eggs and separate the it in 2 different bowls,beat the whites with electric beater adding the sugar gradually until in turns in meringue, in the other bowl which has yolks add cocoa powder, all purpose flour,chocolate and mix them together is the mixture is dry and very hard to mix add a little water and make a smooth batter.add the batter in meringue and fold it make sure you are not deflating the whites.
- Pour the sponge batter on to the custard layer don’t worry the batter will automatically float on top now take a pan or tin bigger then your cake tin fill it with water pan your tin in water this will create water bath for your custard place the whole thing in oven baked for around 30 to 40 minutes keeping eye on it
