  1. Sieve the wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda, thrice and keep aside.
  2. Soak the seedless dates in 1/2 cup warm milk for 30 minutes. Grind the dates and milk to a paste. - Then add jaggery and coconut powder to date paste and grind to make a smooth paste.
  3. Add the olive oil to dates paste and beat to get a smooth batter.
  4. Mix the wheat flour to dates batter and mix well before whipping, to get a smooth cake mixture. Mix rest of the milk if the cake batter needs of flowing consistency.
  5. Grease the saucepan with oil and dust with the flour.
  6. Drop the cake batter into the saucepan gradually. Tap twice to remove air bubbles from the cake batter.
