  1. Wash strawberries,chop off top. Add sugar,eggs,oil in blender & blend well.add chop strawberries & blend to smooth paste.
  2. Sift flour & salt together.add baking powder mix well.divide theflour in half.add half blended mixture in flour & fold properly.then add rest of the flour + rest of the mixture & blend to smooth consistency.add essence.you can add red colour if you like.I have not added,strawberry itself gives out colour.
  3. Preheat oven at 180°c for 10 min.Grease a round tin.place butter paper at bottom.pour the batter in tin.keep it smooth.bump the tin at surface 1-2 times to remove airbubbles.bake at 200°c for 25 min.check it by inserting toothpick. If it comes clean the cake is ready.if not then give 5-10 min more.when done take out from oven & let it cool completely. Strawberry Cream Cake1. For frosting.keep the bowl,whips and cream chilled in fridge.I use whipy whip cream.pour cream in chilled bowl.whip it at medium speed.add powdered sugar & essence if you like.whip till soft peaks of cream formed without dripping.
  4. When cake is cooled,slice it in half. Apply few spoons sugar syrup at one half to keep it moist.place a spoon ful of cream at cake & spread it evenly.place few strawberry slices as well.place the other half of cake over.pour sugar syrup & apply cream.smoothen the cream with knife or spatula to the best
  5. Place over strawberry slices.pour left over cream in piping bag & do nozzle pattern at cake.sprinkle chocolate shavings at top of cake
