  1. Heat oven to 180 degrees. Butter a 9-inch fluted tart pan or pie pan; set aside.
  2. Put almonds and 3/4 cup sugar in a food processor and grind to a coarse powder. Add self raising flour, ger cinnamon,nutmeg and salt; pulse to combine.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, canola/sun flower oil, honey and lemon juice. Add lemond rind
  4. Add almond mixture and beat for a minute until batter is just mixed. Pour batter into pan.Remove stem from each fig and cut in half. Arrange fig halves cut-side up over the batter. Sprinkle figs with extra 2 tbsp sugar
  5. Bake for 35 minutes,or until golden outside and dry at center. Cool before serving.serve with vanila ice cream or cream
