- Preheat your oven to 180d and prepare your baking tin by spreading oil or margarine n dusting with flour, then line your tin with parchment paper inside the tin.

- In one bowl, separate egg whites from the Yorks (like in picture one). Whisk eggwhites until white and soft peaks start to form
- Add vanilla,, then the Yorks to the eggwhites one at a time as you whisk. Next add the suger in batches as you whisk till its fully incorporated. NB.(i grinded normal suger into finer since i didn’t have castor suger)
- Add sifted flour and baking into the batter and fold in until all the flour is incorporated fully. Pour the batter into your baking tin and bake for 40mins.
- When ready, wait for a few minutes before removing from the tin. After removing from the tin, let the cake cool completely before you decorate it. I didn’t have the frosting,, we consumed it that way. There’s always a next time.
