- Preheat the oven at 180 °c. Grease 2 round pans. - Cream the butter and sugar together, add the oil, essence and eggs and beat well.
- Add the flour, baking powder and milk and mix to form a smooth batter.Divide the batter into 8 parts by adding it into 8 bowls.
- Add the different colour essence into the batter ie. Add 1/2 tsp each of the pink essence into 2 bowls,1/2 tsp each of the blue essence into 2 bowls, 1/2 tsp each of the green essence in 2 bowls then the pink and blue essence to make purple in the last 2 bowls.You can add extra essence to get the shade you want. Mix the batter.
- Add the pink batter in the center of the 2 pans, add the blue batter ontop of the pink batter, then the green and then lastly the purple batter in the center.
- Lightly shake the tins to fill the pan.Use a knife to create a web effect and place in the oven for 25mins or till done.
- Allow the cake to cool and place one layer on a flat board. Mix the icing sugar, soft margarine and milk together. Spread a thin layer of icing ontop of the cake, place the other layer ontop then ice the rest of the cake.Add the sprinkles and toppers of choice and enjoy.
