  5. for the topping - can of crushed pineapples (drain half of the juice) and sugars, put into a large saucepan and cook untill it thickens up about 20 minutes. careful not to get any on you ,will burn you. spread topping over cake cut into square pieces. when ready to serve put whipped topping optional.
