The ingredients needed to make Biryani Cake:
- Prepare (1).For Marination
- Take 1/2 Cup Boiled Beans
- Prepare 1/2 Cup Boiled Cauliflower
- Make ready 1/2 Cup Boiled Green peas
- Take 1/2 Cup Boiled Carrot
- Get 1/2 Cup Yoghurt
- Get 1 TBSP ger Garlic Paste
- Prepare 1 TSP Red chilli powder
- Take 1/4 TSP Turmeric powder
- Make ready to taste Salt
- Make ready 1/2 TSP Garam Masala
- Prepare 1/2 TSP Biryani Masala
- Make ready 2 Onions finely chopped
- Take 4 slited Green chillies
- Prepare (2) For Steamed Rice
- Get 2 Cups Basmati Rice (Soaked)
- Take 2 Bay leaves
- Make ready 2 Cloves
- Prepare 1 Star Anise
- Make ready as required Water
- Take (3) For Layering Biryani
- Get 1 TBSP Pure Ghee
- Prepare 2 Sliced Fried onion
- Prepare as required Fresh Mint Leaves
- Prepare as required Fresh Coriander Leaves
Instructions to make Biryani Cake:
- (1). For Marination - In a bowl add all boiled veggies, add Red chilli powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt, Garam Masala, Biryani Masala, ger Garlic Paste & Yoghurt and mix well and keep aside for 1 hour.
- In a pan heat oil, add finely chopped onions and green chillies and sauté well. Add marinated veggies and cook for 5 -7 minutes on low flame.
- (2). For Steamed Rice - Soak the rice for 2 hours. Heat oil in a pan add Bay leaves, Cloves, Star Anise and sauté for a minute. Add rice and water and cook till half done on medium flame.
- Now strain the excess water and keep aside the rice.
- In a pan add 1 TBSP pure ghee, add layer of rice then veggies and repeat it twice. Lastly sprinkle fried onions, mint leaves and coriander leaves.
- Place a small steel bowl in centre of this biryani with a burnt coal and add 1 tsp pure ghee on this. Immediately cover it with lid to give it smoky flavour to biryani.
- Now seal the lid with cooking pot tightly with roti dough. - Switch on the flame, put the cooking pot onto low flame. - Dum the biryani for about 20 to 25 minutes.
- Serve hot dum biriyani with salad, papad and raita.
